Happy Birthday, Charlie! Charlie’s birthday is June 17, 1907! I’m continuing my research and writing on Eames work and life. This newsletter includes a link to an article discussing his focus on molding plywood, relating details of his work with Eero Saarinen and details of their competition entry to the Organic Design in Home Furnishings. Many of these images are not well known and I point out several issues they dealt with that remained unresolved for years, but were ultimately addressed by Charles and Ray.
